STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) is an educational approach that integrates the arts with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The arts component of STEAM can help students develop creative thinking skills, allowing for a more holistic approach to problem-solving, design, and innovation, where art is not just an aesthetic element but a tool to enhance understanding and develop new solutions across disciplines. In fact, research shows that students are more likely to comprehend and retain information in the other STEAM disciplines when art is incorporated into the lesson because they are more engaged.
